3 playgrounds in separate areas with picnic tables and grills... great for family get togethers... not many people were there when we visited, so...no kids to share playground with, but it was quiet and peaceful

A favorite half way spot to take a break and stretch our legs when driving between the Bay Area and San Luis Obispo.
Super clean and well maintained. A gentle sloped turf area surrounded by Coastal Oaks - and about a dozen short hiking trails. They have picnic tables, play areas for kids, and nice bathrooms.
This is the first Monterey County Park opened in 1966. They say that it still has the same character and charm as when it first opened. I think they’re right.

Cool place but it smelt like dead deer or fertilizer near the upper railing trails. 🤮
Otherwise this a wonderful local park to bring your friends and family. Great lawn, plenty of benches for having picnic

Nice lil county park. Clean restrooms. Clean playground. Clean ball fields. Picnic areas. Seems like it doesn’t get too heavy of patronage, so probably a good place to have a cookout.

Love this park. We come here every year for our Family BBQ. Nice facilities. Electrical outlet and water at the reserved sites. Acorn site is good for 80 people, but there are two other areas with space for groups of 150 and 280 people.

Nice park, usually not busy. Plenty of BBQ pits with gazebos and picnic tables for larger gatherings. Two playgrounds, Two sets of bathrooms. Volleyball court(asphalt) basketball and up at the top there are also tennis courts (follow the signs and walk through the trees). Plenty of grassy areas for soccer and I think there is a disc golf course.
I also suggest getting the annual pass, I always forget cash and there is an entry fee.
There is also a trail that you can hike through the woods.

First time there for a family birthday party. Very pretty, love that they have playgrounds and BBQ pits. My only warning is the women's bathrooms were pretty nasty. Aside from that, the park is awesome đź‘Ś

Great park for family time or any event really (birthdays, celebrations, holidays, etc.), and pretty clean too. Has basketball court, tennis court, hiking trails, and plenty of picnic tables to go around but propane grills are only permitted due to high fire risk. On a sunny day, you can't go wrong by coming here.

Nice county park.

I felt comfortable walking my 2 doggies without judgment.

Its clean here in all aspects of a county park. Landscaping, restrooms cooking and picnic facilities.

Basketball court. Tennis courts. Lots of barbecues and entry is free until June 2022. Beautiful park. Nice play ground for the young kids and a great place to bring your dog for a walk, run or mini hike.

A little gem in beautiful monterey county... this park is off the beaten path, but has quite a few visitors throughout the day. The hikes can be a little challenging, but the views are beautiful and well worth it. There are TONS of open grassy areas to picnic, setup a nice area with the family or even test out backpacking gear.... tons of tables and benches and even quite a few water spickets... all in all, a really great place for a nice day with friends and family.
