Marcy Exercise Utility Bench for Upright, Incline, Decline, and Flat Exercise SB-261W
Hello, everybody welcome to scott's, honest reviews.
So today we are unboxing and testing and setting up a exercise- utility bench so I'm very excited to see how this is because it is cheap, a lot cheaper than I thought.
I can find a bench for now.
I do want to point out.
This is a big knife.
I do want to point out that you guys can find this product in my video description.
Sometimes it goes on sale for just dirt cheap.
Sometimes it's you know, regular price, which is already dirt cheap, so go ahead, check out this link in my video description, where you guys can get this for a cheap price.
Okay, so we got it all set up, wasn't too bad setting it up.
You know just follow directions.
The two tools that I think you're you know are- must are these.
You need bit for them side that should be good to go.
Take your time will make sure all your bolts are tight after you're done everywhere, I guess we can go ahead and let's test it out, so we can adjust this.
So that's as high as we can adjust it to so do our curls.
You can sit on the side, so you can actually adjust this down thanks for that, so you able to sit better so doing that snuff bad seat could be a little bigger, but for the price we can't complain when you're doing out here and you're moving.
It feels like you could fall, but it's not going to go anywhere.
So, let's see I guess supposedly you can lay down for situps, see how this works not quite sure.
Well, that's uncomfortable, there's things.
If these are really uncomfortable, no I wish they were out a little further trying to feel.
If make sure we put it all right what it feels like.
We did put it on right.
So here's another angle for you guys, so it works great for a bench.
So you got your bench, so you can sit like this yeah you put it down flat it and that you can do your exercises down flat.
You can do some kind of you know it's just that bothers me and it's so hard I mean it's really hard, but until then subscribe, yeah, yeah yeah, alright guys.
So let's give my review the bench itself for the price, very good price.
This whole setup now I'm 195 pounds so and I'm five, nine, so I'm five, nine 195 pounds so for a smaller person.
You know this padding and stuff probably won't be an issue.
But for me it is so take that in consideration, if you are around my height in my size, maybe you want to also look into a alternative for these bars and the padding.
Maybe the bars would be alright if we have extremely soft padding, so I'm first going to look for extremely soft padding.
This is like a like a baseball bat.
That's so hard, so we're going to look for soft padding and if that solves a problem good.
If not, then we're gonna get a longer bar with a softer pattern.
Um with this softer pad.
You know if the bars long long enough like if it would go out to here both sides, you can simply hook your feet up and do them.
You won't have to have down in here.
So that will solve this whole issue for me.
So because of that issue, I'm giving that whole scenario a 4 out of 10 for practice, you know different uses and stuff I'll get this.
You know overall, I think I'll give this a six point.
Eight out of ten.
VERSATILE EQUIPMENT – Created to let you perform a full-body workout at home, this utility bench can be used to target multiple muscle groups. It allows you to perform a wide array of strength-training exercises that focus on the arms, legs, chest, and core. What exercises can you do with a utility bench? ›
- 1 - Concentration curls. How to do them - Sit on the side of the weight bench and sit with your knees apart. ...
- 2 - Reverse dumbbell fly. ...
- 3 - Dumbbell bench press. ...
- 4 - Dumbbell shoulder press. ...
- 5 - Skull crushers (lying tricep extensions) ...
- 6 - Dumbbell row.
The reason is: an adjustable gym bench can do everything a flat bench can do, but it can also adjust to a bunch of other angles. So whether you love to hit multiple bench press angles, do chest supported rows, like skull crushers or appreciate the seated shoulder press, an adjustable weight bench can do it all. What angle on bench is best for incline? ›
Research shows that the correct angle of the Incline DB Bench Press should be 30 degrees from flat to target the upper chest. 30 degrees may seem like a very small angle, but it is proper incline bench press form for placing the strain on your upper pecs and minimizing the effect on the anterior deltoid muscles. What setting should incline bench be on? ›
The incline bench can be set to anywhere between 30 and 45 degrees. The more upright the bench, the more the deltoids are activated, so keeping closer to 30 degrees will keep most of the focus on the pecs. How low should decline bench be? ›
In a decline bench press, the bench is set to 15 to 30 degrees on a decline. This angle places your upper body on a downward slope, which activates the lower pectoral muscles as you push weights away from your body.Should feet be flat during bench? ›
With your heels up and feet tucked under, this movement will not occur optimally. Rather having our feet flat and in vicinity of 75-90 degrees knee flexion helps to create this backwards drive that creates the mid back arch, elevating the rib cage, and driving the upper back down into the bench. What is the purpose of the YMCA bench press? ›
The YMCA bench press test is a standardized, field-based assessment of local upper body muscular endurance and can be an alternative to the push-up test for individuals interested in using free weights during their workouts. What are the benefits of an adjustable bench? ›
The most significant attribute and probably the biggest advantage of an adjustable bench is its versatility. This bench lets you perform multiple exercises thanks to its back support, which you can set at different angles. The positions of the back support are classified into flat, incline, and decline. What does benching on the floor do? ›
Floor Press Benefits
This allows you to overload the lockout (the top portion) of the bench press with heavier weights than you would normally use. Easy on your shoulders. Also, because of the reduced range of motion, the floor press generally puts less stress on your shoulder joint, given the same amount of weight.
